We're excited about bringing this to the agile software community.
Here's why...

I took CTI's Coaching Fundamentals Course earlier this year and have been amazed by its impact.  Having these coaching skills in my toolkit gives me a whole new range of responses to team situations and a much deeper view of the team as a whole and as individuals.  Now, I use co-active coaching on a daily basis to great effect.  Adding the Agile context to CTI's proven coaching curriculum will make this course even more powerful.  That's why I am so excited about it.  I know it will open the door for coaches to go the next level deeper in their coaching.

I am thrilled to be offering coach training to the Agile community. I began my own journey with professional coaching two years ago and it has changed me and my coaching in profound ways. The Coaches Training Institute has the most well designed and executed courses I have taken. It is my hope that creating this training directly in an Agile context will catalyze a shift in how we perceive our role as Agile coaches, as agents of organizational change, and as co-active leaders.

Coaches need to listen - really listen - to discover each team's unique context and underlying issues. CTI's Fundamentals started me on a journey of listening and understanding in new ways. As I continue my coaching studies with the Newfield CEO program, I continue to gain tools for assessing a client, coaching a team and even writing effective emails! The coaching profession has many well-tried tools to offer us and I'm excited about helping you explore them for yourselves.

On a more hedonistic note :-) I was at Kingbridge last year and enjoyed its spacious and calming layout; creative, restaurant quality meals; and creature comforts. These people share our idea of caring for the whole person. Do you hate travel? Book ahead for a massage when you arrive! Or come early and go for a swim with your kids or ride a bike - or a horse!
